PRIVACY POLICY

This Policy applies to information processed through the Service. It does not govern TikTok, ByteDance Ltd., or another third-party platform, website, or service.

In summary, 4TOOLS uses authorized TikTok data to create your account and provide permitted analytics; processes WAV files in your browser for the current visualizer tool; uses necessary cookies for OAuth and login sessions; and does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Depending on the features you use, we may collect:

• Account information: your TikTok open identifier, display name, username, profile image, and authorized profile details.
• Account statistics: permitted follower, following, likes, and video counts.
• Video information: permitted post identifiers, titles or descriptions, cover images, links, publication times, duration, and view, like, comment, or share counts.
• Authentication information: encrypted TikTok access and refresh tokens, approved scopes, expiration times, OAuth state values, and 4TOOLS session identifiers.
• Creator inputs: WAV files, TikTok links, visualizer settings, and information you submit through analysis or comparison tools.
• Derived information: analytics snapshots, normalized metrics, performance scores, comparisons, and recommendations produced from available information.
• Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, error reports, security events, and similar server-log information.
• Communications: information included when you contact us for support, privacy requests, or other questions.

Any analytics marked “Demo Data” are illustrative and are not claimed to describe your real TikTok account.

If you choose “Connect TikTok,” TikTok asks you to authorize specific permissions. Depending on TikTok’s approval and the permissions you grant, 4TOOLS may request scopes such as user.info.basic, user.info.profile, user.info.stats, and video.list.

We use this data to create or identify your 4TOOLS account, display your profile, retrieve permitted account and video statistics, build analytics history, and provide features you request. We do not receive your TikTok password.

Access and refresh tokens are encrypted before storage. We do not attempt to access TikTok information outside the scopes you authorize. TikTok may limit the fields, historical periods, or accounts available through its APIs.

In the current version of the visualizer studio, WAV decoding, waveform generation, previewing, and video rendering occur locally in your browser. The WAV file is not uploaded to the 4TOOLS server by that feature.

A generated video is downloaded to your device. We do not receive or store that rendered file unless a future feature clearly asks you to upload or save it. You remain responsible for keeping your own copies.

TikTok URLs and other text entered into demo analysis or comparison screens are processed in your browser and are not currently saved as account records. If this practice changes, we will update this Policy and provide notice where required.

4TOOLS uses cookies that are necessary for authentication and security:

• tiktok_oauth_state is a temporary, secure cookie used to validate a TikTok authorization attempt and normally expires within 10 minutes.
• fourtools_session is a secure session cookie used to keep you signed in and may remain for up to 30 days.

These cookies are configured as HTTP-only, secure, and same-site where supported. Hosting and security systems may also process IP addresses, request headers, logs, and device information to deliver the Service, detect abuse, diagnose failures, and protect accounts.

4TOOLS does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral advertising trackers.

We use information to:

• Authenticate users and operate connected TikTok accounts.
• Provide visualizer, analytics, diagnosis, and comparison features.
• Build time-based analytics from snapshots collected after connection.
• Maintain sessions, refresh authorized connections, and respond to requests.
• Secure, debug, monitor, and improve the Service.
• Prevent fraud, infringement, abuse, and unauthorized access.
• Comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect users and 4TAKEOVER.

Where applicable, our legal bases may include performing our agreement with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and compliance with legal obligations.

We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:

• Service providers: hosting, database, security, infrastructure, and technical providers that process information for us. The Service currently relies on OpenAI and Cloudflare infrastructure.
• TikTok: complete the OAuth process, make requests you authorize, and comply with TikTok platform requirements.
• Legal and safety recipients: comply with lawful requests, enforce agreements, investigate abuse, or protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business transactions: support a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.
• With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share information or clearly authorize another disclosure.

4TOOLS does not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not use TikTok user data to build advertising profiles.

We retain account and authorized TikTok information while your connection is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain analytics history, protect security, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce agreements.

OAuth state cookies ordinarily expire within 10 minutes. Sessions may expire after 30 days. Access-token and refresh-token expiration depends on TikTok’s authorization response. Analytics snapshots may remain until the related account is deleted or a valid deletion request is completed.

When information is deleted, limited copies may temporarily remain in backups or be retained where required for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or recordkeeping purposes.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. TikTok tokens are encrypted before storage, session cookies are restricted against script access, and access to production systems is limited.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. You should protect your TikTok account, device, and email account, and notify us if you believe your 4TOOLS connection has been compromised.

You may revoke 4TOOLS access from TikTok’s connected-app settings. Revoking access prevents future authorized API access but may not automatically erase information previously stored by 4TOOLS.

To request access, correction, disconnection, or deletion, email alexreedy8@gmail.com with the subject “4TOOLS Data Deletion” and include the TikTok username connected to your account. Do not send your password, access token, or refresh token.

We may need to verify that you control the account. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless additional time or retention is permitted or required by law. Deletion may remove your 4TOOLS account, stored profile information, tokens, sessions, analytics snapshots, and synchronized video records.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a privacy-request decision.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a valid privacy right. Authorized agents may submit requests where local law permits, but we may require proof of authorization and identity. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.

4TOOLS is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users must also satisfy TikTok’s age requirements in their country.

If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us using the information below.

4TAKEOVER operates from Pennsylvania, United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different privacy laws from your country.

Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms and contractual protections for international data transfers.

TikTok and other linked services control their own privacy practices. Their collection and use of information are governed by their policies, not this Policy. Review TikTok’s privacy policy and connected-app controls before authorizing access.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Service, TikTok requirements, technology, or law. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. We may provide additional notice of material changes where required.
